Rhode Island Comic Con, what you need to know

Well it`s that time of year again where fans from all over make their way to The Biggest show in the Smallest state. Rhode Island Comic Con heads to Providence, R.I. for their annual event which truly takes over the city. Coming from someone who has been apart of every one so far, here are some tips for the big weekend. First things first, it`s always best to PRE ORDER your tickets in advance. You can visit the Dunkin Donuts Center box office or Ticketmaster.com to grab your tickets before the big show arrives.

The event will be taking place at The Dunkin Donuts Center, The Rhode Island Convention Center and the Omni Hotel respectively. The event has become so massive that it now indeed fills all three venues. The Dunkin Donuts center is primarily used for the A list celebrities that will be in attendance. The arena floor will consist of all of their meet and greet areas along with areas to hold all of the lines for the A list talent like in prior years.

The Dunkin Donuts Center concourse, both upstairs and on ground level are completely filled with vendors and merchandise.

Kiefer Sutherland will be one of the headliners this year.

The Rhode Island Convention Center will have multiple levels of fun for the fans including movie used vehicles on site, tons of Artists and merchandise vendors and if you head upstairs, a slew of celebrities and pro wrestling stars signing autographs and taking photos. There are also multiple rooms with gaming going on including table top games, speed dating, trivia, Kids Con and so much more!!

There will be a Smallville reunion and a mini reunion of "The Office" as well. You will have the opportunity to meet these celebrities individually and grab an autograph or a photo op. There will also be opportunities to get group photo ops with these reunion groups as well.

I highly recommend having a full breakfast before you come to the event. If this is your first time attending the Con, it sometimes becomes tough to find a minute to stop and eat, although snack bars in the arena will be open. It can become pricy if it`s an all day affair or even a weekend extravaganza, so be sure to eat before you get there to save a little money!

Actress Gwendoline Christie is the headliner of this years Rhode Island Comic Con.

Lines are crazy as the crowds seem to get bigger each year. A good tip would be to stay hydrated and rest in open areas as often as you can. There are plenty of areas in the Convention Center to sit down and relax. The earlier you get in line outside, the closer to the doors you are when they open.

Pro wrestling stars from different generations will be on hand greeting the fans including "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, James Ellsworth, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Road Warrior Animal of the Legion of Doom, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, "The world`s most dangerous man" Ken Shamrock, Sgt. Slaughter, Goldust, Zeus, (DDP) Diamond Dallas Page, X Pac and Nathan Jones.

If you are a first timer to this Con, I definitely recommend attending multiple days. It puts less stress on your day and allows you to spread out what you have planned. Rhode Island Comic Con will be Friday through Sunday November 2nd-November 4th 2018! Actor Randy Quaid, another headliner this year will be making a very rare appearance

The Omni Hotel will be hosting all of the Q&A panels among other activities through out the weekend.

There will also be a cast reunion from the remake of the film IT which will feature five of the child actors.

Actor Tim Curry (Another headliner this year) will make a rare appearance at Rhode Island Comic Con 2018

Doors will open on Friday at 3:00pm and will be open until 9:00pm. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Dunkin Donuts Center just prior to doors opening, so don`t miss out!! Saturday hours will be from 10:00am until 7:00pm and Sunday hours will be from 10:00am until 5:00pm.

There will also be a Deadpool group photo op this year featuring actors Brianna Hildebrand, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic.

Is that enough? Sure it is but there is more! How about stars from The Walking Dead?

Stars from both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead will be on hand including Jeremy Palko, Steven Ogg, Steven Yeun, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jenna Elfman, Laurie Holden, Tom Payne, Michael Rooker and Cooper Andrews.

There will also be several Cosplayers, Artists and Voice over actors on hand as well!

With events for the kids, activities for both young and old and everything being handicap accessible, there is truly something for everyone.

We can`t forget that stars from Stranger Things, David Harbour and Noah Schnapp will both be on hand signing autographs and taking photos as well.
