ComiConn surpasses expectations

Fans that came out last month to ComiConn at Foxwoods were treated to one heck of a weekend. The event has been running for years, but this was only it`s second year at Foxwoods Resort & Casino. The crowds came out in masses and surpassed attendance from last years Con.

(Darth Vader may have met his match)

Lines wrapped around the casino as fans came from all over to attend this event. There was something for everyone including Comics, Toys & Collectibles, Celebrity guests and Artists galore!!

WWE Hall of Famers "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart and Nikolai Volkoff were both on hand signing autographs and taking photos with the fans. Cosplayers came from all over, showcasing their best costumes for this special event.

One of my favorite parts about attending all of these events are finding all of the classic collectibles and toys from my childhood. It`s a treat to see them in person again and have a chance to purchase them all these years later.

There were stars from hit movies and tv shows like The Walking Dead, Freddy vs. Jason, Charmed and so many more! Current WWE Smackdown LIVE superstar James Ellsworth was also on hand to greet his fans.

The weekend was filled with Q&A panels for the fans and there were many interactive areas for all ages including Kids Con.

You never know who you`re going to run into at ComiConn!

These types of events are getting more and more popular these days and organizers are always trying to think of new ideas to bring in the fans from all over. Celebrity guests bring in a great deal of fans looking to meet their current or childhood hero in person. That one on one experience is something they will never forget.

ComiConn will be returning to Foxwoods Resort & Casino in 2019, but fans don`t have to wait that long. This coming November at the Rhode Island Convention Center, fans will be packing the city of Providence for the annual Rhode Island Comic Con. Visit their website at to purchase tickets in advance and get all the details!

Until next time, see you at the Con!
