R.I.P. Harley Race

The wrestling world mourns today as we have lost one of the classiest pro wrestling legends of all time. WWE Hall of Famer Handsome Harley Race passed away today at the age of 76 after recent health issues. Harley is known as not only one of the classiest men to ever lace a pair of wrestling boots, but one of the toughest to ever do it.

Harley leaves behind a legacy that few could even come close to. Holding the NWA Championship on several occasions, he quickly became one of the most respected men in the business.

Harley was Inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame many years ago and in 2004 he was Inducted into the WWE hall of fame as well. He was also inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame out of New York (now located in Texas). Harley has won more awards than most can even think of and for good reason. Harley will always go down as one of the greatest superstars in all of pro wrestling.

Harley Race was Inducted into the New England pro wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2014 by Howard Finkel. It was a special moment for all that could attend from New England and an honor to host such a legend. He was an absolute pleasure to work with that weekend and his son was also such a good guy. We here at New England Fan Fest and the New England pro wrestling Hall of Fame send our thoughts and prayers to Harley`s friends and family at this difficult time.
